Our magazine began publication in January of 1986. It is a bi-monthly publication of the North Central Texas Medical Foundation. Dr. V.C. Saied has served as editor since its inception. We feature articles primarily by local doctors and physicians. Centrally located between the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex and Oklahoma City, our goal is to promote Wichita Falls as a major regional medical center. We offer most of the same services as many larger cities. The Editorial Board is proud of our medical facilities, state-of-the-art equipment, and dedicated personnel. We strive to publish a top quality magazine.
Each issue revolves around a central theme. We have featured such topics as: anesthesiology, cancer, cardiology, diabetes, dermatology, emergency medicine, gastroenterology, family practice, ophthalmology, obstetrics and gynecology, mental health, pathology, pediatrics, radiology, sleep disorders, and urology. Each issue features a humorous article, Alliance News, " Poetry in Medicine," and " From Where I Stand" by Dr. Joseph R. Miller. See Featured Articles. Dr. Miller has published a book entitled, "Pipe Tobacco and Wool". Copies may be ordered from Humphrey Press at 1602 Midwestern Parkway in Wichita Falls, TX 76302. The cost is $19.00 post paid.
We are proud to feature updated information from United Regional Healthcare Center (8th Street Campus and 11th Street Campus). We regularly feature updates on the Health Science Programs at Midwestern State University located in Wichita Falls.
Readership is varied including the medical community, local businesses, civic leaders, and lay persons. We are a non-profit organization supported primarily through our advertising.
